Welsh FSC Label

Mon 6 Oct 2008

A recent collaboration between River Publishing and specialist paper merchant Gerald Judd Sales has created a “first” for the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) in the UK.

A marketing publication for The Ramblers Association has been produced containing the FSC label translated into Welsh. FSC UK spokesperson Beck Woodrow commented, “We are delighted to be a part of this project, as far as we are aware this is the first time that the FSC label has been translated into the native Welsh language.”

She continued, “New translations like this can only happen in response to demand, and thanks to the perseverance of Gerald Judd Sales and a Welsh language expert sourced by FSC UK, this resource is now available to all those wishing to produce Welsh or bilingual literature. They did a great job.”

Nigel Mackay of River Publishing said, “Gerald Judd is a trusted supplier to River Publishing because they always deliver a first rate level of service. They are prepared to go that 'extra mile' to get the job 100% correct. When we made the request for the Welsh translation of the FSC logo, they simply went off and organised it for us without any fuss.”

Robert Thompstone, Sales Director of Gerald Judd added, “We owe a big thank you to FSC UK who were incredibly helpful to us. Of all the organisations to benefit from us going the 'extra mile' it is apt that it is The Ramblers Association, but in truth this is just the way we operate our business and service our clients at Gerald Judd. We have to provide them with the very best service at all times.”
