FSC UK is once again delighted to support the Royal Forestry Society Excellence in Forestry Awards.

This will be the third year that FSC UK Forest Standards Manager, Dr Owen Davies, has helped to judge the Small and Farm Woodland Award, the Excellence in Silviculture Award, and the Duke of Cornwall Award for Resilient Multi-purpose Forestry.

The Awards rotate around five regions, and in 2018 will cover the West of England (Cheshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall).

'I’m already looking forward to next year’s judging,’ says Owen. ‘Having grown up in Shropshire, I’m hoping for some strong entries from my home county! But it will be great to see and celebrate excellence in forest management throughout the West of England. I would encourage any proud woodland owners or managers to enter.’
