Certified Forests in the UK

Over a million hectares of forest and woodland in the UK are now FSC certified - that's 38% of the total forest cover, and over 70% of commercial forestry. This includes a wide range of woodland types from large plantations to small community woods. So wherever you live, there's a good chance that there will be an FSC wood near you, and the possibility of businesses being able to use locally sourced wood is increasing.

Some certificates cover a group of woodlands under the same management; for details of individual woods (such as those managed by the Woodland Trust), please contact the area manager given in the Forest Search Results.

Details of all certificate holders can be found on the FSC International Database (www.fsc-info.org).  For certified forests you need to enter FM/COC as the category and specify the country.
