SEPA Forestry and wood processing sector plan 01/07/19-23/09/19
SEPA is the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, one of the key statutory bodies regulating forestry in the UK. SEPA staff have been proactive in engaging with FSC UK to explore how we can work more effectively together to share information on standards, best practice and the environmental performance of forest managers. We are keen to build on this engagement and to extend it to other statutory bodies. Responding to SEPA’s draft Forestry and Wood Processing Sector Plan is an important part of building our relationship with the organisation, stressing our shared commitment to high standards of environmental performance in forest management, and showing how FSC certification can support SEPA’s ‘beyond compliance’ agenda.
