Recently we announced the launch of the revised FSC Pesticides Policy, and shared FSC UK’s summary of the implications for certificate holders. Since then, more details of the transition arrangements have emerged, and these are now set out on our Pesticides Policy webpage.
The transition arrangements have taken away some of the time pressure for compliance with Policy requirements for most of the pesticides commonly used in UK forests, but we would still urge certificate holders to modify their integrated pest management processes in line with the Policy as soon as possible.
FSC UK is working with the UKWAS Steering Group to produce national level environmental and social risk assessments for key pesticides to help certificate holders meet the Policy requirements, and will provide updates on progress via Forest Matters.
In the meantime, if you have any questions please send them to FSC UK Forest Standards Manager Dr Owen Davies at email@example.com.
