In September FSC UK exhibited at the Print Show and the edie Responsible Retail conference and presented at Tetra Pak's Parliamentary Reception at Westminster and the Soil Association's Packaging and Organic Industry Forum.
Tetra Pak Parliamentary Reception

In early September, Tetra Pak® brought together stakeholders from Westminster and Whitehall, environmental charities, drinks producers, and the recycling and packaging sectors, for a reception in Parliament on “Creating a more sustainable future for packaging”.
The event was addressed by representatives from Tetra Pak, FSC UK and The Alliance for Beverage Cartons and the Environment (ACE UK).
The FSC label on a product, such as a drinks carton, gives the consumer reassurance that the wood or paper used has not contributed to deforestation. To date, more than 350 billion FSC-labelled Tetra Pak cartons have been produced.
The Print Show
(18-20 September, Birmingham)
The Print Show 2018 ran from September 18th to 20th in hall nine of the NEC, attracting 5,976 attendees.
FSC UK took the opportunity to launch a new 'FSC in Print' brochure, bringing together a host of FSC guidance and information on the application of FSC certification and trademarks to printed materials.
edie Responsible Retail Conference

Packaging and Organic Industry Forum

© FSC UKThe Soil Association are both a FSC-accredited certification body and an organic certification body. In September they coordinated a forum for their organic licencees to understand and discuss current issues around packaging and plastics and to have the opportunity to network and identify possible solutions. FSC UK presented on responsible sourcing of paper, card and other other forest-based packaging. The event was held at Forest Green Rovers (described by FIFA as the greenest football club in the world).
