FSC UK at the Spring Festival
FSC UK at the Spring Festival
The Royal Welsh Spring Festival took place on the 17th and 18th of May at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells. This annual event for smallholding, gardening and sustainable living, attracts more than 20,000 visitors each year. The FSC UK stand formed part of the Green Horizons Sustainable Living Exhibition.
The stand displayed information on what FSC is and the importance of protecting the World’s forests. We asked visitors to complete a jig-saw of the FSC logo and to take part in a leaf code-breaking competition. We handed out resource packs full of FSC forest related activities to teachers and Forest school leaders and answered visitors’ questions on all things FSC.
FSC UK attends events such as this to raise public awareness of FSC. Independent research shows that, once consumers know what the FSC logo means, they are likely to purchase labelled products.
