Certificate holders: share your insights with FSC
The FSC 2014 Global Market Survey will soon be sent to all FSC certificate holders.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is seeking feedback from our nearly 30,000 certificate holders for the 2014 Global Market Survey.
Every two years, we ask our Certificate Holders around the world to participate in the Global Market Survey. Its results help us better understand their needs when it comes to FSC certified products in the market and their experience with our certification system. The results help us to create a stronger FSC brand and resources that Certificate Holders can use to increase their presence in the market.
“We care about our stakeholders, and in finding the solutions that work best for people and forests,” says FSC Director General, Kim Carstensen. “The results are an important source of information that provide insight into general market perceptions, market developments and future trends.”
The survey will very soon be emailed to all FSC certificate holders – it will be available in 14 languages and will take approximately 15 minutes to fill out.
The key findings of the 2012 Global Market Survey – which had more than 4,500 respondents – was that global market demand for many types of FSC certified products was reported to be increasing. Demand was particularly strong for tissue paper, pulp, and packaging materials and for non-timber forest products like rubber, food and drinks, cosmetics, and bamboo. Nearly all (98 per cent) of FSC certified businesses planned to maintain or renew their FSC certification in the future.
