Happy FSC Friday 2015!
It's this year's celebration of responsible forestry!
It's 25th September 2015 and FSC Friday has arrived, our global celebration of the world’s forests and responsible forest management.
It’s a great occasion for all interested and passionate about both our forests and the importance of responsible forest management to join together, celebrate and help raise awareness of FSC.
Lots of organisations in the UK are celebrating FSC Friday in various ways, from dressing green for the day and making FSC Friday inspired cakes to holding awareness raising events.
What some UK businesses have been doing
- The National Soil Association Limited Soil Association Certification Ltd (in partnership with One Tree per Child Bristol), is celebrating FSC Friday with an open day dedicated to responsible forestry: http://ow.ly/SF53Q
- To support FSCFriday, FSC certified timber importers & exporters SnowsTimber (@SnowsTimber) is giving to its builders & timber merchant customers small packets of FSC Friday branded tree seeds: http://ow.ly/SFkWL
- Havwoods, wood flooring specialists (@Havwoods) are showing their portable showroom, a 1060s double decker bus at 100% Design at Olympia today @havwoodroute
Other businesses involved include SCA Timber Supply UK, Doorset Technology Ltd, BAM Construct UK Ltd & Simons Group Ltd just to name a few.
UK Schools & Groups
Many UK schools and groups have got involved which include St Paul's Primary School in Hereford and 1st Crayford Scout Group in Kent who are raising awareness of FSC and dressing green for the day!
Others include St. Gregory's Catholic Primary School, Downpatrick Nursery School, Unberleigh Academy, Ynysddu Primary School, Real Adventure Through Sport and many more..

A Global Celebration:
FSC Friday 2105 has been celebrated globally by countries around the world including:
