Last chance to sign up to FSC’s Fibreboards Campaign!
The deadline for FSC’s Change Our Fibreboards campaign is today! Please sign up!
What is it?
‘Change Our Fibreboards’ is an FSC campaign being run to increase the supply of FSC certified fibreboards (see www.changeourfiberboards.com).
Why are we doing it?
At present, there is a lack of FSC certified products in the fibreboard sector, caused by a limited supply of FSC certified fibreboards from the manufacturers and forest owners who claim that there is no market demand. The final producers, however, state that the manufacturers and forest owners do not recognise the full business opportunities for FSC certified fibreboards.
FSC is encouraging companies to commit to the campaign in order to demonstrate that there is a real demand for FSC certified fibreboards.
Why should you get involved?
By committing to this campaign and registering your organization’s fibreboard needs, you are showing manufacturers and forest owners that there is real demand for FSC certified fibreboard. Collectively, we can make a positive difference!
Who has already signed up?
UK companies that have already signed up include B&Q and Rowlinson Garden Products Ltd with many more companies having committed to the campaign for more FSC certified chip, plywood, MDF and HDF boards. A list of all the companies that have signed up can be found here: www.changeourfiberboards.com/who-registered.7.htm

The companies’ commitments will be sent to the forest owners and suppliers in March this year to demonstrate that the demand actually does exist.
