'Ancient Woodland Restoration in Action': Coed Llys, Glyndŵr University, Northop, Flintshire, Friday 21 April, 2017 – 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Join the Woodland Trust for an information exchange seminar and guided site visit to discuss ancient woodland restoration in practice.
The day will include:
- Introduction to Ancient Woodland Restoration (Nigel Douglas, Woodland Trust)
- Woodland threats (Dr. David Skydmore, Glyndŵr University)
- Felling licences, permissions and economics (John Purchase, Coed Cymru)
- Woodland management in archaeological sites (Dr. Fiona Grant, Cadw)
- Site visit to look at progress in the restoration of this Plantation on Ancient Woodland Site (PAWS).
Who should attend:
- This event is aimed at woodland owners and professionals;
- Places are allocated on a first come first served basis;
- There is no charge for this event.
