New EU Directives a Step Forward for Green Public Procurement
Bonn, 15 January 2014 – Three new Public Procurement Directives approved today by the European Parliament will allow public authorities in Europe to base their purchasing decisions on environmental and social considerations. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) welcomes these directives, calling upon member states to spend taxpayers’ money more wisely by putting an end to an exclusively cost-centered approach to public procurement. read more …
